The 31st of August 2015 Ambassador Marek Ziółkowski visited Embu County where we are running one of our development projects.

In the frame of the project 800 energy saving cook-stoves were distributed among the residents of a couple of villages. The aim is to diminish the demand for  wood from surrounding forests. The farmers also received 40 000 saplings for planting. In previous years the Embassy run similar projects in Embu county. The projects contribute to curb deforestation in the region of the highest mountain of Kenya – Mount Kenya, where Embu County is located.
